Rainstorm at the Guggenheim

In Rainstorm at the Guggenheim, inclement weather gives
a backdrop to hotdog vendor fairytales.  This body of work
is based on an actual event that occurred several years,
where, upon leaving the Guggenheim museum in New York,
I encountered a rainstorm that literally blew hotdog vendors
into Central Park.  The light had a weird, apocolyptic quality
that only November can create, and I felt instantly thrown
into a world of unreality.  I snapped some pictures, knowing
they would have another incarnation.  I made several
attempts, but ultimately had to wait until time and distance
blurred my memory enough to give the photos their own epic
truthfulness.  The result; individual narratives that emphasize
the mood, but skew the event.
